Tour/adapted horse riding

– tailored to your abilities

Our hope is that riding our Icelandic horses will provide a complete experience, not just an ordinary ride. That’s why we focus not only on the riding during our tours but also offer various types of nature tours. Enjoying a coffee break in the forest near a waterfall is also part of the experience. Everyone should feel welcome. Our horses are specially trained, and we can provide different riding aids, including ramps and lifts.

Söderåsen from horseback

– a nature experience with quality of life!

At the farm, we have a therapeutic horseback riding instructor and staff who have completed the Swedish Equestrian Federation’s Disability Leadership Training. For those who cannot or do not wish to ride on horseback, we offer horse and carriage rides, also adapted for wheelchairs. We are happy to arrange regular riding sessions for both individuals and groups.

Safety is our top priority, and we tailor the tour to the least experienced rider in the group. Our tours are calm, and everyone who wants to can try “tölting” (a unique gait of Icelandic horses). For groups with more experienced riders, we also offer galloping during the tour. We also adjust the tour based on the weather and hunting seasons. When you book a horseback riding tour with us, your group will be the only one, unless we have agreed otherwise – we do not mix different parties. Our tours are conducted in small groups. All riding is at your own risk.

Horseback riding tour prices

Please respect that no dogs are allowed on the farm.

Term riding

– for everyone

Welcome to term riding at Söderåsens Forsgård! We offer riding adapted to your needs. Riding takes place outdoors in nature on specially trained Icelandic horses and a Danish pony, and riding in a paddock is also available. We offer various riding aids, including ramps and lifts.

Group riding for people with or without disabilities: Weekly riding in a calmer group where the tour leader walks along. Suitable for all ages and levels of experience, for riders both with and without disabilities. The tours venture into the beautiful nature of Söderåsen at a walk and a bit of tölt for those who wish.

Group riding for more experienced riders: This group is suitable for those with more experience who want to go on a ride once a week. The tours venture into the beautiful nature of Söderåsen at a walk, tölt, and gallop.

Private Lesson: We offer private lessons tailored to your needs and experience. The tour leader accompanies and instructs from the ground. Weekly private lessons are also suitable for those who find it difficult to ride in a group.

If there is space, it’s possible to join a group mid-term.
